slide16_intAttorney Chris Cummings was raised in Homewood, Illinois and maintains deep connections to the community where he lives and works. As the Village Attorney for Homewood, Chris handles all of the village’s legal needs, including: participating in Village Board meetings and advising local elected and appointed officials on zoning and land use, ordinances, and economic development issues.

Additionally, Chris sponsors a local Little League team and is legal counsel for the South Suburban Special Recreation Association, an association of local park districts that provides recreation programs for disabled and handicapped children and adults. Chris also has served on advisory boards for St. Joseph's Parish School in Homewood and Marian Catholic High School In Chicago Heights. A past president of the South Suburban Bar Association, he currently serves as a reserve officer in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the United States Army. Chris is an avid runner and has completed several marathons. His favorite place to run is the 3.6 mile Izaak Walton Nature Preserve trail in Homewood. Chris also is active in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Homewood.
